
In its continued effort to deepen community engagement and support sustainable development, Pines City Colleges (PCC) has established three significant partnerships under its Networking and Linkages program. These include a collaboration with the Magsaysay Private Road Barangay, the adoption of Alfonso Tabora Elementary School to advance health and education initiatives and a tripartite agreement with the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB-CAR) and the LGU Baguio, focused on the rehabilitation of the Balili River and environmental conservation.
To further strengthen community collaboration, PCC was represented by Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Marian Grace Gascon and Magsaysay Private Road Barangay was represented by Barangay Captain Hon. Debie Banagui, renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on September 02, 2024. Also present were PCC Community Extension Services (CES) coordinator Ms. Rowena Acacio and Barangay councilors. Their renewed MOU will serve as a framework for collaborative initiatives from September 2024 to August 2027.


In a continued commitment to environmental stewardship, PCC also renewed its MOU with EMB-CAR and LGU Baguio for the sustained adoption and rehabilitation of a portion of the Balili River. The renewal ceremony was held on September 26, 2024 at Newtown Plaza Hotel. This five-year partnership reinforces a shared dedication to environmental protection and the sustainable conservation of one of Baguio’s key waterways.

To support health and education in local communities, PCC, represented by Dr. Marian Grace Gascon, College of Nursing Level IV Coordinator Ms. Vien Palome, and CES coordinator Ms. Rowena Acacio, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Mr. Warren Ngayawon, School Head of Alfonso Tabora Elementary School on March 28, 2025. Also present at the ceremony was Dr. Marilyn Tami-ing, District Supervisor for District 9. This three-year partnership, effective from March 2025 to February 2028, marks the formal adoption of the school and aims to provide long-term support to its learners and surrounding community.
Through these partnerships, PCC continues to affirm its role as a proactive partner in community development, environmental sustainability, and inclusive education. #Iveeh Amparo
