Pines City Colleges continues to invest in its people by investing in its spaces. Over the past two years, the Office of the Vice President for Administration, in collaboration with the Maintenance Department, has successfully spearheaded numerous infrastructure projects. We are proud to highlight the following completions from 2024 to 2026:
Our institutional identity was strengthened with the presentation of PCC’s vision, mission, and core values, and the portrait of PCC President in the lobby of the Main Building was completed last month, April 2026.

Also, this year, the Dentistry infirmary was renovated and painted, and two discussion rooms were installed. This aims to create an improved experience and a more comfortable environment for student dentists to hone and refine their clinical abilities. These were also finished during the second semester of AY 2025-2026

A comprehensive multi-year renovation of restrooms across the ESBC Main and Annex buildings was completed between 2024 and 2025 (covering the 3rd, 4th, and 6th floors). Modernization of the first-floor restrooms in both buildings is currently underway. The restrooms in both the ESBC Main and ESBC Annex buildings were renovated from 2024 to 2025. The restroom on the 3rd floor of the Main Building was completed in 2024, while the 4th- and 6th-floor restrooms of the same building were completed in 2025, as were the 3rd- and 6th-floor restrooms in the Annex Building. Ongoing renovations are underway in the first-floor restrooms of both the Main and Annex Buildings.

Students often complained of windows that wouldn’t open, with glass breaking easily. In 2025, the old steel casement windows in both the Main and Annex Buildings were replaced with sliding windows. Nonetheless, the bars were retained to prevent accidents.

Workplace optimization was also prioritized. Last summer, the ICT Office and Employee Pantry were swapped to maximize efficiency. This provided the ICT Department with much-needed room for expansion, while the upgraded pantry offers staff a more comfortable space for breaks. Additionally, the Senior High School Faculty Room was relocated to the Annex Building’s 4th floor to improve proximity to classrooms.

As of this year, a specialized skills lab was established on the second floor of the Main Building to house “Lucina,” our new high-fidelity delivery and nursery manekin, enabling student nurses to enhance their skills in these areas. The room is situated on the second floor of the Main Building.

Student wellness was another priority. Despite cramped spaces in the school compound, space was allocated for a new student lounge. Completed in early 2024, the Student Lounge provides a dual-purpose space for relaxation and productivity. The ground level is designed for dining and study, while the loft area will offer a quiet zone for students to unwind.
These initiatives and ongoing projects not only demonstrate development but also reflect the institution’s commitment to and support for its students and staff, promoting their health and safety by upgrading facilities and creating an improved learning environment. #Jrose Pulmano
