Pines City College’s Human Resources Department celebrated Mother’s Day on May 13, 2024, and Father’s Day on June 18, 2024. PCC made sure to commemorate these events for its parents, aiming to honor them as the ultimate heroes and inspirations for their children.
During the event, PCC also offered them treats such as chocolates and lunch. The small gesture made by PCC not only brought a smile to their faces, but also demonstrated respect for them, not just as employees, but also as parents, who have shaped lives with their unconditional love, strength and wisdom. You must work twice as hard simply to sustain and offer a better future for your family.
Parenting is a difficult responsibility that demands significant patience and sacrifice. Mothers and fathers bring children into the world, nurture them through infancy, and strive to provide essential needs such as food, clothing, shelter, education, and affection. Parents serve as their children’s staunchest advocates and allies. Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are opportunities to express gratitude to our parents for all they do, but let’s not just appreciate our parents on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day; we have to show them every day that we love and respect them. #Collin Jaye Laguinday
