Scholarship Opportunities Unfold at PCC for Academic Year 2025–2026

For academic year 2025-2026, PCC continues to support deserving students through academic scholarships available for both senior high school and college levels. These include the Eugenio S. Baltao Scholarship for both senior high school and college, the Student Assistance Grant for Indigenous Peoples (SAGIP) exclusively for students from indigenous groups, and the Dean’s List for those who maintain excellent academic standing.

Eugenio S. Baltao Scholarship (ESBSG)

ESBSG provides full coverage of tuition, miscellaneous, and laboratory fees for the entire duration of the chosen program. This scholarship is open to senior high school and all degree programs at the tertiary level at PCC, offering students the opportunity to pursue quality education without financial burden.

PCC has awarded scholarships to a total of 59 students, showing an increase from 45 scholars in the previous academic year. Among these, 48 are recipients of the Eugenio S. Baltao Scholarship Grant (ESBSG). The ESBSG grantees include 33 students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, one student in the Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy, three in the Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Science, and one each in the Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and the Doctor of Dental Medicine. Additionally, nine senior high school students were awarded the ESBSG, reflecting PCC’s continued commitment to supporting students across multiple academic levels.

Student Assistance Grant for Indigenous Peoples (SAGIP)

Subsequently, PCC is committed to supporting Indigenous People (IP) communities by offering the PCC Scholarship Grant for Indigenous Peoples (PCC-SAGIP). This scholarship provides three slots each academic year exclusively for incoming freshmen pursuing allied health programs. This year, three outstanding students from the College of Pharmacy, College of Nursing, and College of Medical Laboratory Science have successfully met the requirements and were awarded the PCC-SAGIP, reflecting PCC’s dedication to empowering Indigenous students through quality education.

Dean’s Lister

Thus, PCC is dedicated to awarding high-quality academic scholarships to the most promising students, ensuring they have a bright future in their chosen fields. This commitment includes recognizing Dean’s Listers; for the current school year, there are eight Dean’s Listers, comprising six students from the College of Dental Medicine and two students from the College of Medical Laboratory Science.

Aside from the main scholarships, Pines City Colleges offers various other scholarships and discounts to help students. These include grants for cultural and performing arts and discounts for persons with disabilities, alumni, solo parents, senior citizens, siblings, and military dependents. Academic scholarships through the Dean’s List provide either a full or half discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees. Non-academic scholarships are also available, such as athletic scholarships with partial tuition discounts and scholarships for members of the BIBAK program and PCC Chorale, offering smaller tuition fee reductions. These opportunities demonstrate PCC’s dedication to supporting students with diverse talents and backgrounds.

These scholarships are open to all PCC students, with available slots each academic year. Interested students can visit the Student Affairs and Services office to learn about the qualifications and application process. Scholarships provide valuable support, encouraging students to work harder and stay hopeful as they pursue their dreams. With a variety of scholarship opportunities available, Pines City Colleges remains committed to helping every qualified student succeed and reach their fullest potential. #Iveeh Amparo
