Project A.N.G.E.L.S. Brings Christmas Magic to Young Hearts

On December 15, 2025, the pupils of Lucban Elementary School and Alfonso Tabora Elementary School were filled with joy as Pines City Colleges (PCC), through its Project A.N.G.E.L.S., hosted the annual heartwarming event “Christmas with Children.” Led by Ms. Rowena Acacio, Head of PCC’s Community Engagement Services, the activity once again brought love, gifts, and the true spirit of Christmas to the young beneficiaries.

With the theme “Candy Land,” the venue was transformed into a colorful and festive space featuring eight interactive booths prepared by PCC’s teaching and non-teaching personnel. The booths offered fun games, treats, and surprises, all designed to keep the magic of Christmas alive and fulfill the children’s belief in a joyful and magical holiday season.

A highlight of the event was the participation of PCC employees as “Angels,” who served as the children’s guides throughout the celebration. Each Angel was paired with a child, accompanying them from booth to booth and ensuring they felt cared for and special. The initiative not only delighted the children but also touched the hearts of the volunteers, many of whom shared in the joy of reliving the Christmas spirit of their youth.

One of the highlights of the Christmas with Children celebration was the heartfelt sharing of Ms. Marilyn Chumayag from the Student Affairs and Services (SAS) Department. She warmly recalled her personal experience, saying, “I was once the child who was seated on those chairs, receiving gifts and love from my Angel, a PCC employee.” Through her words, Ms. Chumayag shared that she herself was once a beneficiary of the PCC family’s gift-giving tradition. Her testimony served as a powerful reminder of how the program has touched lives across generations, transforming former recipients into dedicated members of the institution who now help continue the spirit of generosity, compassion, and service that defines the PCC community.

Dr. Felto P. Agpawa of Lucban Integrated School conveyed his sincere appreciation to Pines City Colleges for organizing an activity that brought happiness and inspiration to the learners. He highlighted that the program not only uplifted the students’ morale but also encouraged them to dream bigger, develop confidence, and appreciate the value of learning through meaningful engagement.

Likewise, Ms. Gloria A. Catiyan, School Principal of Alfonso Tabora Elementary School, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the organizers, noting that the activity created a positive and lasting impact on the pupils. She emphasized that such initiatives help nurture creativity, strengthen values, and foster a supportive learning environment, and she expressed her hope for the continuation of similar programs in the future to further benefit the learners.

Moreover, elementary students also expressed their joy and gratitude through their bright smiles, enthusiastic participation, and heartfelt messages of thanks. Many shared how excited they were to receive gifts, enjoy the games, and spend time with their “Angels,” making the celebration even more meaningful. Their laughter and cheerful energy filled the venue, reflecting the true spirit of Christmas, one of love, sharing, and togetherness. The children’s happiness served as a reminder that simple acts of kindness can create lasting memories and bring genuine joy to young hearts.

Beyond the celebrations and festivities, “Christmas with Children” became a meaningful expression of love and hope. Through Project A.N.G.E.L.S., Pines City Colleges showed that genuine care and selfless service can brighten lives and inspire communities, leaving a lasting impression on the hearts of the children.#Iveeh Amparo
