On November 14, 2024, Pines City Colleges (PCC) held a special celebration of Singles’ Day for its employees. This festive occasion provided an opportunity to honor the love that exists outside of romantic relationships, embracing all forms of affection and appreciation.
Singles’ Day, marked annually on November 11, is traditionally a celebration for individuals who are single, providing an opportunity to recognize themselves and the essential relations they have with family, friends, and others in their lives. For many, it’s an enjoyable break from Valentine’s Day, which is commonly associated with romantic love. In recognition of this, PCC established an area for employees who are not married or in romantic relationships, encouraging them to concentrate on self-love and celebrate the significant bonds they share with others. As they said, singlehood is a blessing.
A Thoughtful Gesture for PCC Employees
This year’s celebration was made even more special when the human resources department included married employees who are hoping to start a family and make the event truly inclusive. It was a really thoughtful touch. In keeping with the spirit of the occasion, employees received chocolates and snacks as a simple token of appreciation. These gifts not only brightened the day for many but also reflected PCC’s dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
The celebration of Singles’ Day at PCC was more than just about receiving gifts—it was a reminder that love exists in many forms. It’s not limited to romantic relationships but can also be found in friendships, familial bonds, and, most importantly, the love and care we give to ourselves. For the employees of PCC, it was a chance to celebrate the meaningful connections they share with colleagues and the supportive environment at their workplace. #Collin Jaye Laguinday
