Anduyan emphasized that the essence of the graduates’ academic pursuit goes beyond mere preparation for their future; it is an integral part of their journey, shaping their characters, broadening their perspectives, and equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complexities of the world—the statement of Dir. Anduyan gave the graduates the realization that not only do we learn from books and other media, but from true experiences, we keep learning new lessons of life day by day.

PCC Celebrates Milestone with First Graduating Batch of Doctors of Medicine

The 54th Commencement Exercise of PCC marked a historic moment with the production of its inaugural cohort of Doctors of Medicine, signaling a significant achievement for the institution. For the graduating students of the School of Medicine, crossing the stage to receive their hoods, diplomas, and graduation caps was more than just a ceremonial rite; it symbolized the relentless effort and perseverance they had invested throughout their rigorous years in medical education. Each item represented a milestone in their journey towards becoming skilled healthcare professionals, equipped to make a positive impact in their respective fields.

The pride radiating from the parents of these graduates was equally tangible. Witnessing their children achieve their lifelong dreams of becoming doctors filled them with joy and a sense of fulfillment. Their unwavering support and encouragement had played an integral role in the students’ success, making this momentous occasion a shared triumph for both families and the PCC community.

Valedictory Address

To culminate the remarkable 54th commencement exercise, Ms. Florian K. Layugan delivered her Valedictory address. During her speech, she underscored a meaningful message: “Life is not a competition,” aiming to remind her fellow graduates that measuring oneself against others can impede personal growth. Instead, she encouraged them not to rush, but to focus on their own path towards success, which awaits just beyond their doorstep. This serves as a reminder that while graduation marks the end of one chapter, it signifies the beginning of a new journey in the real world, fraught with challenges.

Congratulations to the graduating class of 2024, and best wishes for your future endeavors!
