PCC’s 2025 Summer Escapade: A Day of Relaxation and Learning at Ocean Adventure

One of the best ways employers can support their employees is by offering relaxation time. At Pines City Colleges (PCC), they understand the importance of work-life balance and prioritize creating a healthy work environment. To show their appreciation, PCC arranged a fun and educational outing for their employees on March 29, 2025, at Ocean Adventure, Subic Bay, Zambales.

The adventure began early at 4:00 AM, with employees eagerly anticipating a day filled with unforgettable activities. To ensure their comfort during travel, the Employee Relations Committee (ERC) provided loot bags filled with snacks and prizes. Throughout the day, they enjoyed four main shows that were not only entertaining but also educational.

The first show, the Eco Theatre, focused on survival skills, teaching attendees how to survive if trapped in a forest. This was followed by the Animal Show, which showcased the skills of various animals while emphasizing the importance of protecting endangered species. Next up was the Balancing Act show. More than just acrobatics, it conveyed a powerful message about environmental protection. Through a combination of singing, dancing, and acrobatics, the performers raised awareness about how to restore balance to our environment.

The Dolphin Show highlighted the dangers of water pollution, particularly how it affects marine life. The show reminded attendees that protecting animals and the environment is essential, and Ocean Adventure’s commitment to animal care and environmental awareness was clear. The final show, the Sea Lion Show, focused on the importance of the “3 R’s” – Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. It educated viewers about the impact of plastic pollution in the ocean, with sea lions as advocates for marine life conservation.

After the shows, the PCC team enjoyed an appetizing lunch at Camayan Beach Resort. Following their meal, employees had the chance to relax by the beach, swim, or join in fun games organized by the committee. The event was a huge hit, and the employees returned to Baguio City with smiles, grateful for the chance to unwind and bond. PCC’s Summer Escapade was not only a chance to relax but also a reminder of the importance of environmental protection and animal care. It was a perfect blend of fun and learning, creating lasting memories for the entire PCC family. #Collin Jaye Laguinday
