Pines City Colleges’ student leaders proudly represented the institution at PANAGTIPUN 2.0: Regional Youth Leaders’ Summit held at 456 Hotel from November 28–29, 2025. Organized by the Cordilleran Youth Center (CYC), a non-stock, non-profit, and youth-led organization registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and accredited as an NGO in Baguio City, the summit gathered youth leaders from various universities and colleges across the Cordillera region.
The event served as a dynamic platform for collaboration, bringing together student leaders, youth organizations, and campus-based publications to strengthen youth leadership, amplify youth voices, and align local initiatives with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Designed by the youth, for the youth, PANAGTIPUN 2.0 aimed to inspire active engagement in building a more progressive, inclusive, and sustainable future for the region.
Throughout the summit, participants engaged in social and cultural activities that fostered camaraderie and meaningful connections. A highlight of the program was the Best Practices segment, where select participants showcased their SDG-focused initiatives. The top three entries were chosen for formal presentation. The summit concluded with the co-creation of a Regional Youth Agenda and the signing of a Manifesto of Unity, an official declaration of shared youth priorities and collective commitments.
PCC’s delegation included student leaders from the Supreme Student Council (SSC): Ms. Frances Ivory Remiendo, Mr. Daljot Singh, and Mr. Prabhjot Singh; the Organization of Future Pharmacists (OFPharm): Ms. Charile Eirizz Vicente, Mr. Bryan Alex De Guia, and Ms. Raenell Llana Zaelle Acosta; and the Association of Respiratory Therapy Students (ARTS): Ms. Michiko Ramirez, Ms. Jhorelyn Boslongan, Mr. Gabriel Pangilinan, and Mr. Sean Lloyd Ayudoc.
The team submitted three notable SDG-driven initiatives:
- Giving Tree + Feeding Program (SSC): A creative and impactful project designed to collect essential school supplies while promoting unity, generosity, and social responsibility among PCC students.
- Cancer Awareness Initiative (OFPharm): Carried out in partnership with the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center – Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Unit, this initiative involved a gift-giving activity during the Survivor’s Annual Birthday Party for young cancer patients, offering emotional support and moments of joy during their treatment journeys.
- Helping Hand: Brighter Future (ARTS): A compilation of ARTS-led community activities, including an open house for COPD Awareness Month, outreach efforts, and Lung Month celebrations, initiatives aimed at promoting public health awareness and community engagement.

In a proud moment for Pines City Colleges, the institution was recognized as one of the SDG Initiative Awardees, sharing the honor with Kalinga State University. PCC received both a certificate and a plaque in recognition of its meaningful contributions to sustainable development and community empowerment.
These initiatives, Giving Tree + Feeding Program, Cancer Awareness, and Helping Hand: Brighter Future represent only a portion of the impactful work driven by PCC student leaders. Their unwavering dedication continues to uplift communities and motivate fellow youth across the Cordillera to champion positive, sustainable change. #Iveeh Amparo
