Pines City Colleges (PCC) is on a winning streak, garnering three notable awards in Academic Year 2024-2025, highlighting the institution’s unwavering commitment to community service, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility.
The celebration began on October 6, 2024, when PCC was recognized for its vital contribution to the rehabilitation of the Balili River, a key environmental initiative in the Cordillera region. The award was presented during the Balili River Day awarding ceremony held at the La Trinidad Municipal Gymnasium. Representing PCC were Dr. Marian Grace Gascon, Vice President of Academic Affairs and Ms. Rowena Acacio, Community Engagement Service (CES) coordinator. The plaque of recognition underscores the college’s active role in promoting sustainability and ecological restoration.

Just a month earlier, on September 02, 2024, PCC received the Blood Services Platinum Award from the Philippine Red Cross, in a ceremony held at SM Baguio City. The award acknowledges PCC’s outstanding commitment to voluntary blood donation, an effort that has saved countless lives through the active participation of students, faculty, and staff in regular donation drives.


Adding to its growing list of recognitions, PCC was once again honored on February 02, 2025, with a plaque of recognition from the Department of Education (DepEd). the award, given as part of the Adopt-a-School program, commends the college’s continued efforts in providing educational support to underserved schools while cultivating a spirit of volunteerism among students. Receiving the award on behalf of the institution was CES coordinator, Ms. Rowena Acacio.
These recognitions not only celebrate past achievements but also serve as a testament to PCC’s mission of making meaningful contributions beyond the walls of the classroom.
