Love and Commerce Unite at The PCC Heart’s Day Celebration

To celebrate Love Month, colleges and student organizations showcased their Cupid’s Corner on February 13–15, 2024, at the ESBC Annex Building Open Grounds.

Cupid’s Corner is a heart’s day celebration at Pines City Colleges (PCC) envisioned to intertwine love and commerce. By expressing and showcasing their ideas of love, the students could interact with other students on campus and celebrate love in all its forms. Cupid’s Corner provides a platform for student organizations to develop entrepreneurial skills and generate funds for their activities. Collaboration, creativity, and entrepreneurship are also promoted among students.

Cupid’s Corner

The PCC Student Affairs Office (SAO), in partnership with the different colleges and student organizations, led a 3-day trade fair dubbed Cupid’s Corner. Cupid’s Corner is expected to gather the PCC community in celebrating Heart’s Day. With their creative designs, the students exhibited booths that resonated with love in different forms. They displayed various products and offered services that the co-students appreciated, and they felt the warmth of love during the celebration.

To add a twist to the event, the SAO awarded the Most Creative Booth to the student organization that most interpreted their organization. Three modern-day Cupids were also selected in the cosplay competition. In their full cosplay attire, the cosplayer must symbolize their interpretation of a modern-day cupid and represent the objectives of their student organization.

The Organization of Future Pharmacists (OFPharm) bagged the Most Creative Booth Award. They designed the Love Express Booth intending to spread love so that you won’t have to experience the pain of a broken heart. OFPharm was also the champion in the Modern-Day Cupid Cosplay Competition. The Medical Laboratory Science Sphere (MLS SPHERE) and PCC-Society of Nursing Students (PCC-SONS) were awarded First and Second Runner-Up, respectively.

After the awarding of winners, the SAO recognized and thanked all student organizations that participated in the event, such as the Association of Respiratory Therapy Students (ARTS), the PCC-Society of Nursing Students (PCC-SONS), the Organization of Future Pharmacists (OFPharm), and the Medical Laboratory Science Sphere (MLS Sphere). The PCC Supreme Student Council joined as well in the successful event. # Adela Wayas
